Many times over the years I have purchased reprints (produced by various publishers) of out of print works, since the originals are either unavailable, or very expensive. Some have been quite usable, while others, such as this one, are reproduced in such small type, one needs a magnifying glass to read the pages. Additionally, while the "list of illustrations" is included in the text, the illustrations themselves are not. I should have simply payed the extra money and purchased a first addition. By the way, the "see inside this book" feature available does not show the text the way it is in the book I received, which looks instead like they crammed four pages from the original onto a single page.Product details

Everyman's History of the Prayerbook by Dr. Percy Dearmer was published in 1912 along with its companion Everyman's History of The English Church provide an essential to any Anglican or traditional Episcopalian. Dr. Dearmer's book is well illustrated with nearly 100 charts, sketches and drawings. The texts takes you through some four centuries of the development of the Book of Common Prayer. By all means get the original as many reprints are ocr'ed with no illustrations.
